And this is it being goofy: The so-called ’Merica gun shoots bullets and fireworks, and the dubstep gun shoots lasers in sync with the music. Saints Row IV is also about making hard decisions as president, like whether to punch a White House official in the genitals or in the face. It’s about liberating the virtual city of Steelport and vindicating the human race. It’s about cracking jokes and listening to music and plotting revenge. Or wearing revealing outfits to show off your tattoos, like the giant “BOOM” in a comic-book font on your leg. Or flipping off your enemies before you kill them. The point is seeing how much damage you can get away with before being killed. Saints Row isn’t about a complex narrative.
